CONCERNS AND COMMENTS ABOUT METRO

"I have worked in downtown Houston since April 1997 and am appalled at the driving standards of the Metro bus drivers. Just this morning I saw one bus run a red light and another cut in front of a car by running into their lane and forcing the car to pull back. On a daily basis I watch the Metro buses disregard traffic laws and operate as a single entity on the road.  Since there is so much construction police officers 'patrol' each intersection. However, they always seem to turn a blind eye to the Metro buses running red lights. I am frustrated each morning that I witness the behavior. I am not sure if there is anything I can do to help, but wanted to let you know what I witness first hand everyday. I can vouch that Jeff's accident did not cause Metro "wake up" to the fact that they have a real problem on their hands."
